In March of 2023, the Cape May County Democrats hosted our first Informational Zoom about the impact of Wind Farms on Cape May County. With the rush to judgment by some elected officials, it was essential to hear the facts on wind
power’s impact on:
1 – Whales and migratory birds
2 – Our environment and communities
3 – Employment in our region
Our presenter, Sunni Vargas, the offshore wind campaign’s organizer for the non-partisan New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is engaged in education advocacy and events for the league which works to safeguard the health of our communities. Ms. Vargas works to help people understand offshore wind power, green energy, and environmental policy as well as involve more of us in the fight against climate change.
